tarot time at the meet cart: spring equinox
DATE: SUNDAY, MARCH 20TH 9AM-11AM MT (11:00am-1:00pm ET, 10AM-12PM CT, 8:00-10:00am PST)
COST: DONATION BASED
Since March 2020, The Meet Cart has been hosting a range of virtual sessions as a way to socially connect people during a time of social distancing. Amidst the pandemic, though we’ve been finding new ways to connect with friends and family, we’re not able to connect to new, fresh faces. Research suggests there’s a positive impact when we connect with strangers, both for our own and others’ wellbeing. As humans, we are inherently social creatures who are made happier and healthier when connecting with others. So let’s make it happen.
Join in for an extra special session as we find ourselves settling into Spring with some moments to check in with your inner being that’s also in bloom. We’ll explore intentions, ask questions, and attempt to gain clarity through connecting with the cards and to each other.
Hosted by Emily Hope Dobkin, Founder of Betterish + Experience Maker/Community Engager) and Natalie Karneef, Professional Tarot Reader + Writer and Podcaster.

but, what exactly is The Meet Cart?
Created as a mobile structure where strangers meet, greet and play, The Meet Cart is where unfamiliar people become unexpected pals. In a world of great disconnect and divide, Betterish has created this pop-up social space were simple games and activities bring people together in fun, meaningful and engaging ways.
It’s been to creative events, festivals, birthday parties, museums, schools, parks, donut shops and bakeries. 2020 is brought The Meet Cart to a new frontier: cyberspace.
…and how will these sessions work exactly?
First 30’ish minutes: Community Connecting + Reflecting
Remaining hour and a half’ish: Individual mini Tarot Readings
*NOTE: we might not use up the full two-hour time frame, but like to provide room for spaciousness
does it cost anything?
These sessions are offered at a rate that is donation-based, rooted in the concept of Dāna. Dāna is a Buddhist practice that teaches that giving money and other means of support expresses gratitude and support to the teacher(s) and helps to ensure that these teachings continue. When deciding how much to give, one should think about what these teachings/experiences mean to you and try to give accordingly.
